Has anyone ever seen one of these? Does one exist? Anyone have a photo of one?
In all my years of looking at coins, I don't believe I have ever seen one. I would think such a coin would be spectacularly beautiful!

Seriously Russ did you use the online pop report? I wonder if one was recently made?

It almost looks like a proof ASE. Much nicer, though... an less than half the silver.
Perhaps the price is just too steep.
Is your conscience at rest if once put to the test?
You awake with a start to just the beating of your heart.
Just one man beneath the sky,
Just two ears, just two eyes.
Walker Half is the most beautiful coin the mint has ever produced!
<< <i>Any cameo proof Walker is a special thing. The mint wasn't tryint for cameo so dcam is unlikely. >>
I know of no proof dcam Walkers.
Thanks for sharing the photo of that awesome Walker! Just as I suspected, the coin is stunning to say the least! As much as I am a Barber fanatic, I have to agree with Solid: Walkers have to be the most beautiful coin ever produced by the US Mint.
<< <i>That's one of the photos that always reconfirms my opinion that the
Walker Half is the most beautiful coin the mint has ever produced!
Amen to that!
in fact i have seen many many of them with even stronger contrast then the one which this thread is about
also i know the person who made the first cameo walker at pcgs on dec 17 2001 or thereabouts
it graded proof 67 and it is still the finest known and the only proof 67 cameo by pcgs
dated 1938 the most most available date for walkers in cameo
blast white and solid for the grade
do you see where the sun on the obverse is not cameoed?? know why?? it is the lowest relief on the coin so usually never cameoed
and also from my experience with these cameo walkers the obverses are for the most part more cameoed than the reverses
michael
the coin IS cameoed but not AS cameoed as the photo suggests
