OK, I think a bit of reality has not come to play here. Lets recap what several had tried to say hear. First, if you’re selling, you open yourself to a lot of different people in the real world, and no, they are not all collectors who meet yours or anybody else’s standards. So be professional regardless of how foolish the other side may seem to you.
Next, take a deep breath and don’t over react. Besides, you cannot recall that email when you send it and you sure as heck cannot, I repeat cannot, say whenever that person will ever receive your email.
Russ did what he felt he had to do, but I would have handled if differently.

<<<Now, of course, his bid is cancelled and he's blocked from my auctions. Would you have done the same>>> Shiat yeah!!! Like you're really scared of a neg. Threatening people with a neg is wussy. He was probably picked on in school cause he ate boogers. Since he's cancelled you don't have to worry about it do you. Oh but he's a member of this board? Ummm...ahhh....so what?
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
Dear Russ the bully of the PCGS Forum: I'm Eric Devan better known as KobeKing88888 on e-bay. I've been buying, selling and trading PCGS coins for many years now. I've never delt with anyone as rude as you in my life. Either youself or an associate of yours responded to an email I sent reguarding a kennedy half you were selling on e-bay. Why you block the certification number with a sticker or tape makes no sense at all. I now understand why you 1st refused to email me the Certification number I requested. The proof is in the blocking of the number on your ebay auction. When I read your response I was stunned. You had mentioned that you could not send me the certification number because fraud might take place. Whatever that means Russ is beyong me. Secondly why would you even save an email when it's just a question? seems that from the beginning you were ready to show all the PCGS members what your all about. A big bully who loves to push people around. Of course I wish I kept my response from you. But knowing that I did not receive a favorable answer I deleted your email Russ. Lucky you. Why in the world would you then send me the certification number after you've blocked me from any more future bids? That was a low blow as well Russ. Horrible business decision Russ. And extremely rude! I've got a super ebay following with over 1,350 overall positive feedbacks to date. I maintain a 99.5% ebay rating and have earned a red star from ebay. If you are a PCGS member and have responded to Russes question if I should be blocked or not, please take the time to read the buyers responses to my sales before judging me without knowing who I am. I thank you all for your time in this matter and understand that russ is as low as they get. A bully, a person who has something to hide in his life. I think that something is a word called "Respect". Please visite my ebay coins on auction @ this time. my full user name Has "5" number 8's in it. I'm KobeKing88888 on ebay. Thanks very much. Welcome to the boards KobeKing88888! It should get interesting around here; hope you stick around to talk coins. Also, you might want to turn on the PM feature for private messaging.
<< <i>I've never delt with anyone as rude as you in my life. >>
Really? Do I need to repost your eMails so everybody who missed them in my first post can see who the rude one is?
<< <i>Either youself or an associate of yours responded to an email I sent reguarding a kennedy half you were selling on e-bay. >>
I responded - by giving you the certification number as you requested. Again, anybody reading this need only see my first post.
<< <i>Why you block the certification number with a sticker or tape makes no sense at all. >>
You apparently live in the State Of Confusion. There is no sticker or tape over the certification number in my auctions. There is no label at all. I use large 600 pixel images of the coin - no slab image.
<< <i>I now understand why you 1st refused to email me the Certification number I requested. >>
You're a liar. My first response provided you with the certification number. Prove otherwise.
<< <i>You had mentioned that you could not send me the certification number because fraud might take place. >>
Again, you're a liar. I said no such thing. Prove otherwise.
<< <i>Secondly why would you even save an email when it's just a question? >>
As a matter of standard business practice I save all transaction related eMail. I have them going back years. They frequently come in handy when I encounter the ocassional lying moron.
<< <i>A big bully who loves to push people around. Of course I wish I kept my response from you. >>
I simply won't take crap off idiots. If that makes me a bully, so be it.
<< <i>Why in the world would you then send me the certification number after you've blocked me from any more future bids? >>
It was sent at 08:47 PDT 05.16.04. You know damned well you received it right away, since you responded to other eMail within an hour. You've made a buffoon of yourself, and you're now trying to play CYA by lying.
<< <i>judging me without knowing who I am. >>
Who you are is a brainless twit who came right out of the gate threatening feedback extortion and are now fabricating a crock of BS to cover your tracks.
<< <i>Why you block the certification number with a sticker or tape makes no sense at all >>
This has been discussed numerous times on the board. MANY sellers do it to prevent cert numbers from being stolen and used in Registry sets. Even though it is fairly easy to rectify a stolen cert #, why would a seller want to place that hastle on the actual buyer of their coin?
<< <i>I've got a super ebay following with over 1,350 overall positive feedbacks to date. I maintain a 99.5% ebay rating >>
And this is supposed to give us faith in you, who threatens negative feedbacks? Compucheap has 1,692 overall positive feedbacks to date, and while he hasn't "earned a red star from ebay" yet, he has had more than twice the repeat business that you have. So obviously you do not trust eBay feddback for Compucheap, why should I ttrust your feedback?
<< <i>russ is as low as they get. A bully >>
And yet Russ was not the one to threaten a negative. hmmm, who is the bully?
<< <i> the actual photograph of a coin your selling >>
I looked at the auction and I saw a large photo of the obverse and reverse of a coin. Again, in talking with COIN COLLECTORS, one buys the coin, not the holder, as has been discussed to death on this forum. Why is the cert number that important? The seller had 99.8% overall rating, almost 1,700 positive feedbacks, many repeat buyers. Don't you think that if the coin did not come in the correct holder that the seller would have made you whole?
Overall KobeKing88888, I feel that Russ did the right thing by canceling your bid and blocking you. While it was unfortunate that your second request came minutes after Russ sent his response and you most certainly did not see his email before your second was sent, the utter rudeness of mentioning the word "negative" is unbelievable!! How do you know that he was even in town or had checked his email over the weekend? Maybe he is a professional that does eBay during the work week? Maybe he was off on a weekend trip with his hot girlfriend or visiting grandma with his kids? Life is too short to worry about deals with self-centered eBayers such as yourself.
TextDear RUSS: Take in consideration as to why in the world would I make such a big deal over this incident. I just wish I had saved your response for all PCGS members to read. My mistake. Lucky you. Have a great life RUSS. Keep your terrific responses coming. I get a kick out of them. It's great to see that your good friends are responding in your defense. I'm certain there will be plenty more. Whenever a response is posted that you don't like it seems that we're always a liar. I'm new to this forum but won't let a low life like yourself bully us around. thanks. Eric. KobeKing88888.

Is there any chance that KobeKing88888 has gotten Russ mixed up with another seller? The two stories are so far apart, it's amazing.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
Why let such a argument continue? How about changing attitudes and kiss and make up? Is it really all that important in the grand scheme of things? Both the buyer and seller sound like eager coin collectors. Let bygones be bygones and let's try to go forward.
Russ, comments like "Piss Off" and "Lying Twit" will get you nowhere......................Well except with me.................I happen to love hearing the mother tongue, especially when used in the perfect context such as this....Dont let this get to you........

Eric, even if you delete an e-mail, there is a good chance you can recover it. Have you tried that? Do you have a Deleted Items folder? I have not heard you defend any of your language in your responses to Russ. I can only guess (as others have) that you have Russ confused with someone else. In any event, I consider that language harassment, one reason for folks to defend Russ.
Another reason people have come to Russ' defense is simple. He is an extremely knowledgable collector, and takes the time to answer stupid questions (I have posed several to him), even of those (like me) that he doesn't even know. He is not one to attack or provoke (well, at least not without reason).
Even if (BIG if), Russ responded as you claim, there is no excuse for your reaction. I think you owe Russ an apology.
