Here's the 9th coin in the group that I recently had graded by PCGS. I was so excited by the rest of the coins that I had forgotten to post this nice 1852 PCGS AU-58 $20 Liberty - Type 1 ...

A very attractive example... congrats. It seems to be worthy of an AU58 grade

Nice coin, Stuart. I like that date a lot, and I think AU58 represents very nice value.

It looks a better than average example. I don't see the wear on it at all. Are you SURE there is wear on it? image Perhaps you should send it in again and see if you can get a MS-62.

Congratulations, it really does look nice.

Tom: It sure looks a lot better than that supposed MS-64 Saint in the PCGS Las Vegas Invitational Grading Seminar that was AU all day long !!! image

Nice coin, love looking though cannot affored yet.

I live in north Houston , is there a coin dealer not too far away you can recommend? I live off 1960 by willowbrook mall. I noticed form your messages you are in houston and figured you might be a good source for thisinformation.

I know of several local Houston Coin Dealers, but the ones with which I am most familiar are at:

    1) Rice Village (Houston Numismatic Exchange - Pat Johnson)
    2) I-10 & Wirt Road (U.S. Coins - Johnny Duncan/Pete Castro)
    3) Beechnut & 610 West Loop (Royal Coins - Sonny Toupard)
    4) Bellaire (Collector's Coin Shop - Jeff Todd)
    5) Eldridge & Westheimer (The History Banque - John Nash)

Thanks all for posting your approval of my 1852 PCGS AU-58 $20 Liberty!!

I think that the coin is very close to an MS-62, and thus may be undergraded.
