This 62 DDO DCAM Franky is ready for Sarasota

Well,

I cleaned him up a little and took some better pics.You can see the contrast alot better now.

My camera just doesn't let me get any better closeups.I tried to get some clear shots of the doubling but just couldn't get it. Every letter looks to have some doubling, some more than others.I think the "B" in Liberty is the heaviest.The nose,chin and cheek also show a pretty good second line.

I am going to send Franky into NGC so I can get the DDO attribution.Not sure if he should stop at NCS.

What do you think now? Would you agree DCAM?

It looks like it could use a careful dipping - I'd definitely spend the extra $10 or whatever and send it to NCS for conservation - Good luck with it

I agree with Frank. Spend the money and have NCS conserve it just to be on the safe side.

From the pictures presented, I'm not seeing where the dipping is especially needed.... I see what might be a slight bit of toning or haze around 6 o'clock on the obverse, and perhaps a few small milkspots?? I'm curious about what you guys are seeing that indicates it needs a bath (and heck yes, let the pros do it!!)

if youre trying to get a real closeup pic of the doubling put your loupe infront of your cameras lense. should get a nice shot that way.
