I swear you guys just need to........

Come to my town on Labor Day Weekend. The VFW here has the big "Flea Market and Gun Show" and mixed in with all this are coin dealers that just refuse to use computers for anything and you will barely see a coin graded by ANYONE. It is like you had gone back in time to a show 20 years ago. Raw coins out the ears.

This thing attracts around 200,000 people every year. The easy way to describe it is e-bay on tables.

We all make jokes that whoever created e-bay came here first and thought up the idea. If you are intrested in it, they have it. You just gotta find it.

    where is your town?
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.

It is a town in the middle of nowhere that an interstate runs along beside. It is not a coin show that they throw every year, but it is an "everything collectable yard sale"...... But you find everything from state quarters to 1916-D Mercs that are raw.....

With all the polish sausages, BBQ, curly fries, and cholesterol you can stand!!!!!

All the profits go to the vetrans..... so I love it. image

Be sure to remind us a week or two before. It sounds like a blast and I'd consider coming (even if just for the sausage).

The Johnson County Numismatic Society (Kansas) has an annual coin show that I find to be excellent. A few slab dealers, but for the most part, they are all old-school raw dealers who love to haggle. For those who aren't familiar with it, it's held at the Lenexa Community Center, in Lenexa Kansas. The date is easy to remember. It is ALWAYS on the third weekend of October.
