1999 1/10oz EAGLE DOUBLE DIE???

Are My Eye's Decieving Me?
I just recieved this 1999 1/10 oz Gold Eagle from ebay today, so I took a loop to it to look for flaws and I saw a Big One! All of Liberty and the Stars also the Branch Leaves look to be Doubled! Is this how all of the 1999's look? I only have one other Eagle and it is a 2003 PCGS MS 69 to compare it too and the 2003 has No Doubling whatsoever. I have one decent pic attached as it is hard for me to photo with the small loop I have. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott

Sure looks like doubling. But perhaps it's only machine doubling.

Can you post more close-up pics?

Looks like machine (or strike) doubling to me. Notice how the secondary image is very flat and shelf-like.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • I concur - most likely strike doubling.
