Nickel rolls I promised are in the mail
Thanks for the warm welcome I got last night signing on as a new member. For the first 5 people that replied to my free nickel roll offer, your coins are in the mail.
For the additional 3 people that I felt a soft spot for, yours will be in the mail on Thursday. Hope you enjoy them
As a side note just in case you want to mail a roll of nickels, the postage is $.05 less that the cost of a $2.00 roll.

But your story also reminds me of a town in Montana I grew up in (Long, Long ago). A couple of years ago I dropped into the local bank to see someone my brother worked with (again a long, long, long, time ago.
Anyway they were selling some mint products. They had a slight mark-up but they were mint products. Now, I thought this was neat and somewhere I saw where they had rolls of Ike dollars and so I asked the teller. She said sure I have a roll here, but made the comment "or would you like some out of the vault". I said what you have is fine. I have always wondered if maybe they didn't have some of the original rolls stashed back in the vault.
On a sidenote, In Lincoln (I think it is Lincoln) Montana they have the S10,000 silver bar. You walk into the trading Post and to get to the bar you go through the souvinour shop. The souvineer shop is marvelous and prices are great (bordering on cheap). A must see if you are travelling in western Montanatowards Idaho.
Anyway the bar is implanted with silver dollars, and I mean Implanted, that started a long, long, long, time ago. It is great. If you wanted your name and date they would take the silver dollar and implant it into the bar with the date.
Of course over the years the the bar (about 30 ft long) was filled and they started putti9ng them on the walls.
And, of course, the silver dollars ran out. They now are putting in the Ike dollars. I asked them how they get the Ike dollars and they said that it is getting harder now but he has his feelers out and so far he has been able to do so. (This was last year ore the year before.
Anyway the previous time we were there with the grankids we poked down our dollar for them and this time we were in their looking for them
The,nice, lady bartender (is it really a bar?) asked us what the names were. We told her she looked it up on the computer, gave us a pair of binoculars, with the location, and sure enough thre they were. I tell you it was great.
If you are in the area I consider it a MUST stop and if the souvinior shop isn't the most reasonable you have seen go into the bar and buy a spot for the dollar at the "$10,000 silver dollar bar".
I can't remember for sure but I think it was at 34,000 dollars now.
Montana is a GREAT state.
Jim
p.s. thanks for the tip about shipping charges - that's basically the cost of two rolls for one!
That's very cool what you did.
Being on the west coast, and having some cool banking people at my local BofA, I was able to get some rolls of the D mint, but haven't been able to get some P nickels for our collections.
They should be in our circ change sometime this year
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
<< <i>OK Loanshark! I have my own nickels but someone asked you if they are P or D. Here in Oregon I can get D but have traded with a friend, from Ohio for the P's.

Montana is a he!! of a lot more than a great state...
The 10,000 Silver Dollar saloon is 16 miles from Idaho on I-90. I haven't been there since '94, but did drive by it on my to way to and from the Portland ANA. A very interesting place that you have to stop at if you are a collector. (this may actually be Lincoln county though)
Lincoln is much further east of there on highway 200. Just south of Lincoln is where the Unibomber was living, just a mile or so from my grandfathers cabin, which I spent a considerable amount of time throughout my life.
I know I have yet to see any of the new nickels in circulation in this part of the country. I'm planning on passing on the giveaway spirit and give some of them out to friends, family, and co-workers. I'm sure they will think it is pretty cool.
