Congratulations. The 78-S is really tough.
I have a 51 P. It's only good or VG. Don't know if I want to sell it though.

Edited: Just looked, my 51 P is a vg.

Wow, congratulations! I would love to do this set. Can you let me in on how you did it? All circulated? Any problem coins? What is the cost of doing it? Is it in an album? Please let us know some of the details of your collection. I'm very interested.

Congratulations. You have one helll of a set. What grades do you collect in? What grade is the 78-S. I too have been looking for a nice F-VF 1851 for its scarcity. I saw a decent Good on a web site a few months back that recently sold.

What did you think of those 70-CC halves on Heritage last month? One was an XF40, the other XF45.

Truly a great accomplishment. Congratulations to you, and good luck in finding the last pieces.
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

For those looking for a nice selection of Seated halves, Harlan J. Berk just listed a whole mess of them in the last few days. They must have bought a collection.

    Link

I am not affiliated with Harlan J. Berk, I just like them and they are an honorable group of folks!

Can't get the scanner to fire tonight......... dang dang dang..........

Thanks to all for the compliments image

    The 78-S is a PCGS G-4, but still a boatload of $$$$$$$$$$$

I pick up any varieties I don't already have, and even some I do depending on the die state......... There were many, many rare varieties that I "cherried" over the years..........

Due to the nature of the collection, the size and shape are ever changing, therefore I keep it in standard 2 X 2's, 20 to a page in a $3 Office Max binder........ Maybe I'll spring for something nicer soon............

Ray....... If you decide to sell, lemme know !!!!!

Hard to believe I am this close !!!!!!!!!!

Harder still to believe that I can post here without "raggin" on the Camster !!!!!!!

Wow,I just checked the CDN and realized how expensive and rare the 78-S is!! Congtats!image
I once thought about collecting seated halves by date and MMs, but I gave up because so many dates are too tough for me to afford.....I'm collecting half dimes instead.
