1879-CC S$1 USA Cleaning
1881-CC S$1 USA MS63
1891-CC S$1 USA VF30
1892-CC S$1 USA MS62

This is the results of my first submission to PCGS. I'm a little disappointed as I try to send coin I thought were not cleaned & was hoping for a bit higher grade for the '92CC, but overall happy.
Now I'm off to start learning how to grade better!

Thanks ElectricEye, a question though. Some of the Morgan's I have, I KNOW they've been cleaned by the hairlines, & the more expensive ones I'll probably send to ANACS to varify their authentisity, but the 1879-CC LOOKED original.
Is there a(n easy) way to determine if the coin had ever been dipped? Besides the coin having 'frost' or 'tone', if the coin is white, how can you tell?

the surface under high magnification will show changes ~ K6AZ is the guy to ask for the in depth dealio on Morgans

Coins that have been properly dipped cannot be detected. Only when a coin has been overdipped to the point of impairing and stripping the luster can it be detected.

What do you think the coin (79-CC) grades? I'm surprised PCGS would bag this unless it had very obvious harsh cleaning. You may want to take a good loupe and examine it under a good light source and see if you can't detect obvious cleaning hairlines. These can be easily missed under florescent lighting.
