The pointed 9 dime has the bottom of the 9 in the date come to a point. With most 1964 dimes the 9 has a flat base. It is a small difference in design.

Gosh; Even after looking at all the Roosie's on this, I still can't get into them. Maybe it's that they are still the ugliest coin ever minted. My opinion only!
