Grading help -- 1910 Swiss 2 franc

I bought this in a junk box. Krause lists it at $9 in VF and $150 in XF. Which is it and should I slab it? Opinions please. image

Edited to add: I didn't scan the reverse, but I'm guessing it's a solid XF, because there is little trace of wear. It's the wear on the obverse I'm worried about.

    Doesn't look much better than an F to me, but it's hard to tell from the scan. Can you make a larger one at a higher resolution, maybe 600dpi?

    300 dpi is as high as my old scanner can go image

    Does anyone know the guidelines for grading Swiss francs? (calling MacCrimmon!)

    I can't really tell from that pic but it may be VF or so. Treat it somewhat akin to a seated lib quarter half. Obv. will show wear first on the left thigh and the hair (if fully struck here). Also, examine the right breast. image

    If these areas have slight "graying" but with mostly full luster, it could be in the AU range. Slightly more flatness it gets down to XF quickly.

    Look for wear points on the reverse bow, and leaf tips. If I get some time maybe I can generate a PCGS-style jpeg in photoshop highlighting some of these areas more accurately.

    I don't have a MT handy, but if a solid AU (55+) it would go for up to $425-475 wholesale.

    wybrit - you need to tear yourself away from coins once in a while, if only to enjoy one of the nicest pair of legs man has ever seen!

    Juliet? Juliette? Ah, twas such a long time ago....

    Juliette Prowse was a famous dancer from the 60s and 70s. Starred in Can-Can and GI Blues. Sinatra wanted to marry her....at least we know he had good taste, eh. She was too tawl for him, though....something like 6 feet plus and all legs!! image
    Mostly starred in Broadway musicals throughout the 60s and into the late 80s......can't find any decent pics of those lovely legs.....

    Sadly, she died about 7-8 years ago from cancer.image

    I have some comparison photos of Swiss half francs HERE. The grades are my own opinions and the photos aren't good enough to really judge the grades.

    Smart decision for this coin. Use the slab fees and buy another coin. I don't think that even if it graded ef it may not warrant the slab fees
