Simple storage question

Hello everyone,

I have a question about storing my PCGS coins...

Is there a reason to keep them in PCGS storage boxes or can I just stack them together?

When I did the right thing by moving my expensive coins to a safety deposit box, I decided to stack them in the bank box without the blue boxes so that I could fit more of them in. Did I do anything wrong? Should they be spaced out?

(On a side note, when I'm transporting them, I do keep them in blue boxes to keep them from banging together.)
