Coin turning in holder?
I'm not a big copper fellow, as the problems/frauds are so hard to detect. Is this coin beginning to "turn" in the holder. This is NOT a knock on the Ebay seller. I just want an assessment of the coin.

However, from NGC's website I found this Q and A:
Q: Are all coins certified & encapsulated by NGC covered by the NGC guarantee?
A: No. Copper/Bronze coins are particularly susceptible to the effects of oxidation and are therefore guaranteed to be genuine only. Additionally, any NGC certified coin deemed by us to be representative of a clerical error is not covered by the NGC guarantee. Clerical errors may be returned to NGC for correction of labeling at no charge to the submitter.

<< <i>I admit I am new at this but the blonde in me has to ask anyway...SO why not have your copper/bronze coins, that are superoir specimens re-slabbed every nine years, would that prevent the "turning" or is it destined to come out of the closet anyway? >>
That's actually an interesting idea. If they do in fact guarantee that for up to 10 years, which according to Shamika's reply is questionable anyway, it would perhaps make sense to reslab.
However, I think the coin would 'turn' anyway, and it's not due to the fact that it's 'starting to tone.' I would bet that the coin was dipped, dipped improperly, or otherwise altered prior to placement in the holder.
It's not one of the newer NGC slabs, so it's been in the holder at least 6 months.

<< <i>That is a 67 ????? >>
Well, it might have been at one time - before it was dipped and not rinsed properly
