One "penny"? Were they on the .UK site of eBay? I once sold a English half penny and it closed at one cent. I did charge $0.75 for postage though.

Did they send you cash? A penny would be cool to receive in the mail.

How bout a CC through PayPal for the value of 1c... I wonder how PPal would charge you for that... image Would be funny to get a Money Order for 1c and bring it in to the Bank and cash it... hahaha! image

I don't think the metal detecting thing will provide a good supplement to your income.

I do recommend that you buy a couple of shares of ebay stock, because you're making them good money.

Payment with shipping $1.51. Insert fee $.30, shipping cost $.42, net for coin and your trouble $.79. Not a bad profit for a corroded indian cent.

Sorry, I don't mean to be mean--the buyer lost--paid $1.51 plus $.37 stamp for a corroded indian cent. If it were my MD find, I would keep it for the memories of finding it!

These sales demonstrate why I don't even bother selling coins like these. Instead, I bury them in Salinas, CA. image

Well admittedly, 1.50 shipping for a one penny item is kinda loopy, but then again, if they're local, they can pick it up in person for a penny. Yeah, normally i dont sell such items individually, but at times the locale where they were found has been a selling point. In this case, I think it was a detriment!.
