Beckett Raw Card Review/ BGS question...

I have a BGS Raw Card Review that I am going to submit. I was told that you only have to pay to have the card slabed, is this true? Or do I have to pay for the whole grading? Is there any chance at getting a higher/lower grade than the raw review? Should I take it out of the Raw Review case and hope for a better grade?

but it is a Jordan rookie- people are very leary of them now. Can't sell them raw- especially on eBay.
  • yeah....most cards graded 7.5 sell for less as far as i know

Jordan BGS 7.5s brign around $475
    PSA 8s usually bring less
Raw are unsaleable on eBay and most anywhere else.
  • I paid full price for grading my RCR's...($10.00 each). You can email Beckett and ask them yourself. I just found out recasing a card is $5.00...they don't have that listed on any invoice.

Grading@beckett.com (Your price basically is like recasing because the grading is already done. It should be $5.00 but just email them to clarify it. Oh and yea, I would grade that card as a BGS 7.5, raw is garbage. Just hope you get some nice subgrades, someone may buy it trying to bump up to a BGS 8.

Is there any hope of getting a better grade? Like when they look at the subs and suck? maybe a shot at an 8 ?
  • this one just sold ungraded!

Thank you for the inquiry. If you would like this card graded, you will pay the regular grading price minus $1 since the card has already been through the RCR service. There is a chance the grade could change however in most cases, the grade will remain the same. Have a good day!

    Guess that solves that-
  • I think the better centered your Jordan is (raw) the more people think it's a fake (all the fakes are 50/50). This one is way off top bottom and looks legit. If your card looks real nice and you can put a 100% money back guarantee on it...it may go for more.

As for getting a better grade on a Raw Card Review, no chance...if it says 7.5 on it, that's what your going to get. Unless you take it out of the label and submit it raw (hoping it would bump up on it's own). I did that with a BGS 9 review and it came back a 9.5.

The fake Jordan I had was o/c like 60/40. I think I am going to keep it in the RCR and submit it and just take the 7.5- sell it- buy a PSA 8 and make a lil money in the process.
  • I would be willing to trade for that Jordan.
