We plan to do something more involved with Morgan varieties in 2004. The first thing we'll do is contact the variety collectors for their opinion.

There are lots of questions here that need to be addressed. One is which varieties will be recognized. Another is which of those, if any, will be required coins for registry purposes. Another is will those required for registry purposes be the same for the pl/dmpl registry as the non-pl/dmpl registry. These and other questions should all be considered.

As for sticking vam information on the label, I don't see a problem with that, since PCGS is willing to stick an individual's name on the slab, which in most cases (especially in this day in age) has far less collector meaning than a better description of the coin.
