The Beauty of a Bald Headed Big Guy!

Thought I'd share some nice proof Ike pics with ya! Ha, fooled all those Frankie people! The 76 Type I is really tough to find in DCAM without haze and the reverse is especially weak usually. This one was from R&I Coins. They have some nice ones! The 78 is the easiest to find with monster frost and clean mirrors, but it really is a pretty coin.

Thanks for looking!

I just completed a set of proof Ikes with 1976-S Silver being the hardest to find. I ended up buying a 76 silver proof set to get it. My 76 type I and II clads look really good. I don't know about anyone else but I find the silver proofs sometimes to be a little cloudy. Great pics thanks for putting them up
Cheers,
Micheál

<< How do you tell the difference between a type 1 and type 2 in the 76 Ike? >>
The pix above are correct, but let me elaborate. Our government decided to produce 1976 Ikes in 1975, and these were the type I's. They were of low relief and with bold lettering. In 1976, the government slightly improved the design, thus creating a type II. These are of higher relief and with sharp lettering.
The reason "I like Ike" is because I do Army work for a living. Since this is my livlihood, I thought I would put together the complete Ike MS, MS+varieties, and PR PCGS registry sets. I still need a 1972-P Type I PCGS MS63/64, so if anyone has one for sale or trade, PM me. My set is dedicated to the PEO for IEW&S.
Check out a Vanguard Roth IRA.

<< <i>The 1976 silver Ikes were all type I if I'm not mistaken - anyone? >>
If you look in the PCGS price guide they list Type I and Type II for the clad proofs but not for the silver proofs.

Yes, 76 silver are type I. Only the clads came as T-I or T-II
