  • Ooh what a nice car, I have the same thing. Silver with the original striping. image
  • I live in New Joisey too. You need to find a shady shop that will throw a sticker in your window for 50 or 60 bucks.

Atarian: In Californey, they would label your Chebby a "gross Polluter"; but you could still drive it after paying an exorbitant fee to get the sticker. BTW: we're still about 34 Billion light on the budget out here. But, NTW; "Ahnold" will fix it. heh heh

Thats the new OBD emissions test, they just passed it here in several of the counties in NC. Although here its only on cars dated 1997 and higher. The problem is, you cannot go an slip somebody a few bucks to sticker, because the DMV is actually the one who passes the car as okay, it is loaded thru the computer in the car into a reader and sent electronicaly thru to the DMV which then issues the label and paperwork to pass the vehicle.

There are a lot of people who drive around clunkers and stuff that dont ever have thier car serviced, many drive around with the engine service lights on. This will put a stop to those people, becuase the car wont pass, and if you wait and pass the 90 day mark in this county, the DWV sends you a 250.00 fine in the mail and blocks registration.

I always take my wifes car and my own to the dealer for servicing, its better in the long run especially with this new emissions test.

How much does it cost to fix in order for it to pass?

Hey, in 6 more years you can register it as an antique with "QQ" plates & never have to go to inspection again!

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
