My SDB at B of A is now $95!

Theyve been charging me $80 since 1999, thats almost a 20% jump! Has everyone else seen a jump in price like this or are they putting the screws to me?

    Mine's free for 2 years.

I had two boxes and closed one. Later I came in on a Saturday and they couldn't find the paperwork and wouldn't let me in. On Monday they said they closed both by mistake, so they gave me 2 years free rental (at $60 a year).

I believe I pay 150.00 per year. I don't need all the space at the moment. Want to rent some space in mine?

    Around here a 24x12x12 goes for $50 to $80.

Prices have generally increased about 3% annually for the last twenty years
while many new ones have been created.

I get a free one at B of A for having a higher minimum balance checking account. Pretty small though, probably 3 X 10 X 24

Through a "glitch" in the computer (inputed deliberately by a friendly teller), I ended up with a big box at California Federal Bank for free. Nada. Zilch. Then CalFed was purchased by Citibank (bastages) who promptly shut my branch down. Requests for continuation of my free big box at the nearest Citibank branch were met with incredulity and laughter.
  • clackamas, I have a 1000 lb safe thats about full, 200 of my most expensive PCGS coins are in the box!

    Bob,
You sure it wasn't the shirt you were wearing? image

I get my (small) box free with my accounts. If I paid for it, it would be about $40/year.
