eBay is dead!

ms70ms70 Posts: 13,956 ✭✭✭✭✭
I just did the third (out of about 20) of my daily searches for "PCGS" in the eBay coin category & hardly anything is coming up
as new. I'm not surprised, just bored & felt like shopping a little, but I've seen it all already!

And as usual- Edited for spelling. Something always gets by me!

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

  • I don't care about spelling..... Ebay IS dead... If I need a "fix" just type in a search on yahoo and go to the 9th page and start clicking....
  • I'm hoping that the other snipers are as preoccupied as the sellers. Might be some GOOD deals on what little stuff there is for saleimage

I was hoping that too, but no dice. That toad Marty out-sniped me on one this morning.

  • I got a 1940-D Merc PCGS MS-66 for $25 with shipping and insurance this morning... that was kinda a lucky find though, the dealer had it listed in his description that it was PCGS slabbed, but neglected to put that in his title. So, I guess I must have just stumbled upon it when I was searching for PCGS in Titles and Descriptions, since most people who come up on a search like that, but it's not in the title, usually are just mentioning something about PCGS, like maybe that they are a PCGS Authorized Dealer, or that they also specialize in PCGS coins, etc. etc. So, I got a nice deal there....

  • I just picked up a 2002 set to PCGS PR69DCAM Clad State Quarters for $9.99. No other bidders. The seller spelled everything wrong (PSCG) and put it in Military Model/Armor section in error. I happen to build model armor kits too and stumbled across it. No one was ever going to find that coin set unless they stumbled across it like me.

If the seller has an issue I will probably agree to void the deal. A bargain is one thing but this is just not right. However if he honors the deal I will not object.

I can think of a dozen reasons not to have high capacity magazines, but it's the reasons I haven't thought about that I need them.

    ASEC,

You shouldn't automatically conclude that there is anything "wrong" with the score you just nailed. How long did the auction run? If it was a 7-dayer, the seller had more than adequate time to recognize his errors and correct them. If that's the case, you have nothing to feel guilty about at all. Tough titty for him.

If we're talking 1 day auction, or a mis-priced BIN, that's a little different situation, but he actually still has a contractual obligation to finish the transaction. Personally, my reaction to that would depend on the seller's handling of it. A little contact after the sale to discuss it, no problem, let him slide. A refund just showing up with no contact first, then I'm irritated.
