Dirtbag Ebayer strikes again.....

Many of you may remember a thread I posted a while ago about a problem that I had concerning an Ebay bidder (onestopoutlets) who won one of my auctions, failed to pay, then hijacked my pictures and description, added fraudulent statements to the original description, and relisted the auction as his (apparently in an attempt to resell the items then pay me with the proceeds).
I recieved this today:
"To member: nogvmnt
From member: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I would like more information about your problem with onestopoutlets he had offered me 2,000 if I had closed my auction early and I did, now I cant get in touch with him. Mine was also a coin lot! How did you find out he had relisted your items, did he change his user id? Any information you could give me would be a big help! My auction was at over 1300 when I closed it! So please let me know how your situation had ended up. Thank you Angie"
My response:
"Hi, he won my auction, went through checkout stating that he was in the process of sending payment, then started giving me a bunch of lame excuses why he couldn’t pay but promised to pay within 3-weeks.
After he refused to respond to my Emails I checked his current auctions and found that he had hijacked my auction pictures and description, added fraudulent statements concerning the grades and value of the lot, and represented that he was in possession of the lot when he in fact had never paid for the original auction. When the bidding on his fraudulent auction failed to go higher than what he owed me for the original auction he ended the fraudulent auction just minutes prior to its ending time.
When I reported his fraudulent actions to Ebay all they did was to delete his auction (so much for Ebays fraud department).
When I left him negative feedback because of his fraudulent acts, he retaliated by negging me (which is the only negative I have ever received).
I believe, the fact that you violated Ebays rules by closing an auction early to complete a private transaction with him precludes you from taking any action against him through Ebay.
The only thing you can do now is block him from bidding on your auctions and relist your item.
The lesson here is: Never end an auction early to complete a private transaction IF YOU DON’T HAVE CLEARED PAYMENT IN HAND!!! It is also very unprofessional to close an auction early for this purpose.
That’s about it.
Good Luck, Jim M. Burger"

My ebay auctions
and it sets us apart from practitioners and consultants. Gregor
I've added him to my "banned bidder" list
<< <i>Ebay has an opinion to end the auction early and sell to the current high-bidder. >>
Yes, they do. Their opinion is that it's okay as long as you use that option.
