I finally got a proof Indian Head Cent! Thanks to Feldoni at Pinnacle!
Mark's been doing a really good job looking out for me when he heard I wanted a toned, proof IHC... so when he got a few in, he sent them on approval. It figures the one I liked most... was the cheapest
Also, thanks goes to an anonymous board member who footed part of the bill, enabling me to buy the coin.
Here's the Pinnacle shot (NGC PF65RB)

The coin is really recessed in the holder, and incredibly hard to photograph... I'm working on it...
Well, heck... here are a few of my shots (you'll notice how the coin is a nice chocolate with a hint of color without much light... I like that, because I can see the details really well... rotate it a bit, and it glows!
)

Thanks again to Mark, and the anonymous member!

BTW, the coppers really look nicer in PCGS plastic if you gotta buy plastic
Marc
P.S. Looks like Mark sold you - your first true collector slabbed 'n entombed eye candy - what a guy

<< <i>hmm to I sense some salemanship here?? testing the waters kinda thing
I have to ship them somewhere... I'd be just as happy to ship them to a board member who buys them as I would be to send them back to Pinnacle
How does Mr.Feldoni make a living selling coins that look so good ? There can't be enough to go around !!
stewart
NGC MUST get rid of the white slabs! It's almost impossible to get a good photograph of their slabs.
They are too thick (cause a shadow) & the white reflects the light back into the camera.
Please note, NGC grading is excellent but the white slabs SUCK!
Ok you NGC people can start cussing me now.
Glenn
BTW That's great toning.

I say crack it out and enjoy your coin without plastic. (don't you wonder what it look like w/o plastic?)
Seems like you have same problem as me when you capture true color by camera....always plastic reflect light when the camera catches color.
I frequently visit their site because they always have amazing coins, but that doesn't mean I frequently buy from them

Actually, this rarely happens--only occasionally, and almost exclusively NGC and maybe ANACS holders... normally I can get color without a problem at all.
