Rare Kennedy error!!! Enjoy!!!

I was at my local dealer about a month ago, and he handed a 2000 mint set and told me to take a look. The first thing I noticed was that there were 2 Kennedys in the slot for the half dollar. We did a lot of weighing and thinking that afternoon and came to the conclusion that the one Kennedy had to be struck on a SBA planchlet. Vince took the coin along to the Baltimore show and gave it to ANACS. They took it along and certified it as such.....Ken

I'm not an error guy but I would think this one is worth significantly more than $500 since it's a 2000 coin struck on a 1999 planchet.
You have done it again.Cherrypick another great find. You may go down in the record books.

It is extremely unusual to find any sort of significant error in a mint set. I've
never seen anything of note except a few small clipped planchets and a die
adjustment strike.
I thought from the header that possibly the error was the mint was still punching out that old nasty coin!!

Very cool, and possibly unique, especially with the dual attribution.

Your link to the coins is just a big red X in a square box. I can't get to your link (picture)
In fact, I never have been able to get to your links (past 5 months)
Anybody know what I need to do to adjust my computer to get to Ksteelheader's links?
Thanks,
Sometimes that works, sometimes not.
I wonder about the grades of these two coins.
One is a 65 and the other only a 60 ?
Was the 60 just poorly struck or poorly mishandled or both?
Please offer it to me if he is interested in selling it.......

How you doing? Those are sure some nice coins you offer. I am very pleased with them.
I am a little surprised it only graded MS60 having never left the set. Hmmm.
