Grade the Barber Dime Please :)

Hi everyone,
A friend of mine came across this 1901S Barber Dime this weekend. Please help me put a grade to it. I am guessing F-12? The brown stuff on it is just mud that will easily come off. He found it metal detecting. Thanks for your help.

I say VF30- pushing XF40 but barely if at all. Lets say VF35 with some dog turd stuck on the reverse for fun!

I guess I still need to work on my grading lol
At least I'm undergrading instead of overgrading
I'll let my buddy know, I can't believe he dug that up and FOR FREE! Nice profit margin huh? lol
I'd say VF+
The "dog turd" stuff is just wet mud.....he had dug this out of the wet ground at a park just before the pics were taken. The mud will wipe off completely and easily with a soft rag/water without damage to the coin.

Good news! Can you post a pic with the wet mud/dog turds removed?
It was found in Manteca, California.
<< <i>I may be able to eventually but not as of now. I don't have the coin, it was found by a buddy of mine who still does not know the value of the coin

Congratulations to your buddy! Manteca is my favorite Dizzy Gillespie composition, and 1901-S is a key date in my favorite series. I wish him luck in washing off the mud and look forward to the next pix.
