Is this an error?

I found it in change today, is it just like somebody cut it with something or is it mint made? I looks fake to me, but i know nothing of errors.

well wait to hear what otehrs say im 95% sure its a cut from someone. remember i submitted a 1943d thinking it was a mark after teh 3 and then i learned the 4 was doubled ( whcih i missed)

nothing really, maybe a wheat cent

not even any silver! Guess there isnt much free at the moment

This weekend I took out $185 in coins from my bank. My biggest (and I use that term loosely) finds were 4 lincoln cents with die cracks/scratches. None of them were very big scratches, but it was fun to find them. No premium, but I threw them into 2x2 and popped them in my box anyway.

Now I just have to roll all those coins again.

I think it would be hard to tell for sure without seeing it up close. Can you describe the "cut"? Is it shiny and fresh looking, or does it look similar to the rest of the coin? It there metal built up on the edges of the cut?

No, its flat, and its all the same color, sorry i cant get a better picture my scanner doesnt do close ups
