Nashua NH Show: Picked up a neat Morgan...

...in an advertising paperweight! It's an 1897 and it's actually UNC! Not some polished piece of crap you usually find in these things. The ad is for:

K. STRAUS and CO.
Philadelphia 6, PA

I'll post a pic when I get back from the holidays.

Cheers,

Bob

Nashua NH.... about 2.5 hours South of me I wanted to go to that show seeing we have so MANY here in NHimage Nice find my friend.
  • I frequently travel to Nashua, NH on business (BAE SYSTEMS). This is practically my home away from home! I really enjoy going there. This is a very historic town, and goes back to revolutionary war times. I believe the coin show is at the Holiday Inn at exit 4, right? My favorite dealer is Rare Coins of New Hampshire, which is in Milford, NH, not too far down the road. image

Is there a way to crack those things out without damaging the coin?

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Jon is a really good guy, but lets not build him up too much! He may get an ego problem! He is Tonelover on this board for those who don't know him. Seriously though, I brought Jon four boxes of coins today and spent over an hour with him. Very highly recommended.

I wish someone would open a nice coin shop up this way (Ossippe, Conway NH) because there is nothing. Portland Maine is the closest city with any kind of coin shop.image

The Nashua show is worth the trip down from Ossipee. Make a day of it. Leave early image

There is a decent shop in downtown Plymouth N.H. North Country Coins. Wally is a very nice gentleman, and has a nice selection of miscellaneous type material, slabbed and raw.
There is also a shop in the next town over from Loon Mtn. (Tip of my tongue, but can't spit it out!!!!). Again, in the little downtown there. At the past N.H. Coin Expo this fall, I purchased some Commem's and large cents from this shop.

Woodstock N.H.???? God, I'm getting old image

I couldn't make the show today. Last minute stuff kept me away. I've already received 4 emails/phone calls on my no show image

A good local show, but it was a lot better before Bill Jones moved away.
Successful BST transactions: EagleEye, Christos, Proofmorgan,
Coinlearner, Ahrensdad, Nolawyer, RG, coinlieutenant, Yorkshireman, lordmarcovan, Soldi, masscrew, JimTyler, Relaxn, jclovescoins, justindan, doubleeagle07

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't no optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.

    My mind reader refuses to charge me. . . . . . .
