1983 uncirculated sets

Since the US Mint didn't release this year in an uncirculated set, there are lots of independently packaged sets. Is it worth keeping these intact? Since there is no company name on the one I have, how can any value be decided?

My WAG on the price of these sets would be in the $32 - $45 range.
The coins were SO poorly struck, I HAD to own them.

of Arcola, Illinois also made quite a few sets. These are in white envelopes with blue and
red at the corner. These are an excellent source for good quality cents and Philly quarters.
There are also a few type "d" reverse Denver and Philly quarters in these. The Philly mint
made about 10,000 souvenir sets. There are some choice dimes in these but the other coins
tend to be pretty typical most of the time. Denver made 15,000 of these sets and quality is
good. There are at least three other types but I've seen no more than a few of them.
In the long run all the mint sets will trade on the basis of the coins in the set. Now many of
the regular issue mint sets sell at a steep discount to the cons they contain and a few trade
at a huge premium.

A friend said he's received anywhere from $75/+ for the occasional
set he lists.

people putting together date runs of mint sets and when they learn of the ex-
istence of the officially issued souvenir sets they one them. Many of these sets
have been cut up to make the date/mm sets of the various denominations so
there are not large numbers remaining. I've seen dealers offering as much as
$50 for either dated pair of sets.
There are many other dates of souvenir sets which are much tougher, but there
isn't as much demand.
