Temporary storage ideas for proof coins please!

I have a couple of cameo franklin proofs that I intend on cracking out of their old holders, and sending in to PCGS. However, I'm a little concerned about what to put them into when I send them in. I've heard about how fragile the surfaces of proofs can be, and I have visions of accidently leaving nasty marks, scratches, etc. What's the best temporary storage method, if any? Vinyl flips, 2x2 holder, paper envelopes? I don't really feel like dorking up a choice looking 54 cameo franklin, so any suggestions would be welcome!

My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !

If you put them in vinyl flips, you're likely to end up with hazed over coins.
