Possible Franklin/Washington errors

Was sorting through a batch of Franklin halves tonight and I noticed something unusual about one
of them.
Seems the 'R' in 'Trust' joins his bust.
I know, its not like hes got 'Liberty' stamped on his forehead, but do you think this slight error might
be an added premium ?
The Washington - Was sorting through a whole pile of pre 64 quarters, and was trying to organize thm by
decade at least until I get the time to further scutinize them.
Whilst putting them in tubes (got a couple cigar boxes full) one of them wouldn't fit.
Compared it to others, and sure enough this sucker is bigger.
The lettering is noticably larger, and things like this distance between his nose and the rim appears
greater than on other quarters.
Its even more pronounced on the reverse.
I don't have a micrometer, but if you stack another quarter on top,you can clearly see a good portion
of it al lthe way around.
What would cause such an error, and is this more than slightly unusual ?

  • The Franklin looks like it might be a little die break? I would think there might be a small premium. I can't really say anything about the Quarter.
