Exhibit A: eBay searches are your friend

I found this little guy in with the generic Indian Cents, which let it slip under the radar of most of the big eBay error players. It closed for just over 5% of my max bid.

Didn't take much to find it, etiher, just a simple title & description search for "clip*". I don't understand why more people don't do this... though I am grateful. image

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

I don't know anything about errors, but I'd pay that much for that one, not much to lose. I did a search the other day for "NCG" to see how many NGC coins were listed that way. Laughed my a$$ off when I found one of my own image

    "Exactly."

If you pay more for shipping than the item itself, I think you've done pretty well.

I do that search a lot because NCG slabbed coins are VERY hard to find and I get annoyed at all the NGC slabs that are listed wrong. I even search NCG -NGC using titles and descriptions and I still get a bunch of them. (I'll pay well for a first generation NCG slab. As far as I can tell they probably only made about 100 of them.)
  • You ripped that coin - good find.
