Should Jon be a big enough man to say "I'm sorry"

We all jump to conclusions sometimes.
Should Jon Lerner say he's sorry for trashing an Ebay buyer without cause?

It would be a nice gesture. But, he could also school them on what not to say when arranging a transaction: "please provide your account number so we can transfer money to your account." That's a red flag that's too big to ignore.

If, at the end of all this, Jon got paid then it was NOT a scam and no matter how shaky the deal came together it did in the end. So to call him a scammer would be wrong- and an apology should be given.

I think Baron Von Hong Kong should apoligize to Jon Lerner for all the trouble they caused him. Even though his long boring BS fine print almost put me to sleep I still managed to catch the part about shipping to the US only and confirmed address and all that before my head banged down on my keyboard in mind numbing boredom.
Myself I would have gotten ticked off after about the second email. Like what part of NO! do they not understand when they asked if they could change the auction TOS.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

I'll wager this ain't even close to end of story. Jon may be in for legal action. ie. slander.

Dog97...I take it you haven't read the whole thread?
I take it you didn't read the entire "fine print" before your "head banged on the keyboard in mind numbing boredom"?
Here is another part of that "fine print" that was further down:

We do not ship outside US unless you ask us in advance to see if this is possible!!! Again I do not ship internationally unless you have made arrangements before the auction ends! The Biggest Reason is that it costs us between $10 and $40 in Bank Charges for Foreign Checks…THEREFORE…If you want to bid from outside US you MUST USE PAYPAL FOR PAYMENT! ALSO YOU MUST DOUBLE THE STATED SHIPPING COSTS…SORRY BUT IT COST MORE FOR US TO SHIP OUTSIDE OF THE US… WE TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR SHIPPING TO OUTSIDE THE US…ONCE WE MAIL IT WE HAVE COMPLETED OUR END OF THE BARGAIN…SORRY BUT SOME COUNTRIES MAILING SERVICES ARE BAD AND THAT’S NOT OUR FAULT If you have any questions please ask BEFORE YOU BID!

So, it looks to me like there are chances for it to ship international. This has been brought up (by me at least) in the main thread enough so I won't further on it. Jon changed his "fine print" so nothing like this should happen further (for Jon's mental sake image ).

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I was about 103% sure the whole thing was a ridiculous hoax perpetuated by a 19-year-old college student furiously typing away in his basement and cracking up when he thought up the title 'Baron of Whatever' - so I was with Jon all the way.

On the other hand, it may not have been a great idea to post the whole thing on this site as it was happening.

I can't see how it can hurt for Jon to send the good Baron a nice note apologizing and letting him know he was merely protecting himself from the afoprementioned scammers, etc., etc.

I think this will have a wonderful and happy ending, in which Jon and Baron Yuen can share a laugh and nice glass of wine some day real soon at the bar at the Peninsula Hotel. And much joy will be felt by all.

    LOL

You fail to see that even if the so called baron (which I doubt is accurate) files any kind of claim. A quick
2 hour visit with Jon and his attorney just wiped his ass on that $500 coin. Was any of the hassle really worth
the profit he may have made on the coin.....? image should have been a private matter between buyer and
    seller.

I think the Barron Von Onion should appologize to Jon.

Bochiman so ok I fell asleep before I fully understood the TOS.
Now that I see the seller is crying about <<<$1.75 bucks/gallon to get to the post office>>> to ship coins I think I'd just avoid sellers like that.
The seller also says he won't take returns on his ACG junk. <<<also excluded from return policy are bullion items and coins that are in (NGC,ICG,ANACS,ACCUGRADE, PCGS, or SEGS holders) which are guaranteed by those companies.>>>
Maybe he's the scammer because as far as I know ACG has no guarantee.
I wouldn't apoligize to either one because they both are buttheads.

Dog Dude, come on man chill out a bit. I think we should all find something positive in that other thread, as well as everything. You know.... like even if a coin is ugly or At, there is always something positive about it?

I'm not sure what, but there must be something.
