Hey Kennedy half dollar guys--

Which is better an PR69CAM or PR68DCAM. I am mainly interested on 1964, and 1968 though 1970 only.

Now, I know that the MS69DCAM would even be better, but those things are way out of my price range!

Thanks!

I will take a full boat 68DCAM over a 69CAM any day of the week. BTW, I noticed you just moved in to 11th place. image

Thanks, Russ. I will need to upgrade those SMS coins someday. The 1964 PR69 is homemade there is frost on both sides but not enough to make a cam.

The answer depends on which you value most, a virtually flawless coin or nice cameo contrast. I prefer uniform cameo contrast (within reason) and if forced to choose, would tolerate a few minor flaws. It's almost impossible to build a homogenous set with some coins cam and some dcam because the cameo is so much more visible than a few tiny flaws on an PR68 Dcam.

    Here's a couple pretty nice 68DCAMs:

I've rarely seen a 69CAM that I found as appealing as those.

    Joe,

Sorry--No passing signals like I do with the Mercury Dimes. image
