Tootawl's Baltimore Report
Getting to Baltimore was not fun. I live about 2 hours from Baltimore. We did not have any snow down here. As soon as I got a half hour up the road, that's when the fun began. At times I could 55 maybe 60 with no problems then all of a sudden, all you saw was ice and snow covering the road.
I managed to hobble my way to the show. The first person I ran into was ksteelheader and his grandson. Merz2 was soon to follow. I had decided that I was not going to leave the show without getting a 1886S Morgan, a 1888S Morgan, or both. My first stop was to PCGS. I turned in a First Flight $10, $10 GAE, and some others for grading. Next stop was the ANACS table to get some error slabbed. As I was walking (or as Merz2 said gimping) around, some guy I've never seen before asked me if I was Too Tawl. I said yes and he said that his name name was Dollars. He said that the chances of someone my height with a cane was easy to find at the show. As stated in other reports, the snow kept alot of people away, both dealers and buyers. I did notice a few empty tables, most notabely, the ANA table. I was hoping to renew my membership. I guess I'll do it at the Fun Show. After I gimped my way thru the show, I finally found my 86S and 88S Morgans. This means that with the exceptions of Carson City mint marks, I have finsihed the first Intercept shield book. I guess I'd better get busy finding me some CCs.
I got to talk with a lot forum members throughout the show. Just as I was getting ready to leave, here comes MDWoods. He introduced me to a few other forum members. As we were leaving for lunch, MichaelDixon shows up. I had a great time at lunch with Mark. He is an interesting guy to hang out with.
I was very touched about how many people were asking how my knee was doing. Thanks for the concern guys!

<< <i>Tootawl, old buddy! Did you say that was a cane? I could have used it for a crutch....
HEY! I can't help it if I'm a normal size person in a short world!
I forgot to say that I picked up another very cool error coin. The dealer that I bought it from said that it was a "mushroom strike" cent (1999). I'd like to know how this thing was made. I've noticed that I'm getting more errors than "normal" coins lately.
As always it was a pleasure to see you again.I truely am sorry to see you in pain.I hope it gets better before the FUN Show.
