If the market remains good / strong or gets even better, what do you folks think will happen to the spreads between various grades of better quality coins? Will they increase? Decrease? Remain virtually unchanged?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
Live Long and Prospect.
the spreads between MS66, MS67, MS68 will increase
the spreads between PCGS/NGC and ACG/NTC will increase
at least that is what they have done in the past
In answer to the original question, I believe the spread for pop-tops will continue, due to the registry lemmings' needs. Otherwise, I don't anticipate a change.
The obcession for ultra-grade coins and finest knowns is driven by the egos of collectors with more money than sense. I don't see this changing.
That seems to be a popular train of thought. Perhaps the coin in this thread could be distinguished from a PR65 without the plastic.
and it sets us apart from practitioners and consultants. Gregor

Collectors, on the whole, are becoming seasoned (thanks, in part, to imformation being more accessible). I believe the price between grades of MS65; MS66; MS67 and MS68 will continue to expand because of it.
