PCGS Submittal question! (flips)

I have four of the 2.5x2.5 soft flips left, will PCGS still accept those for putin your coins in to send in, or do they want you to use the new acrylic ones.

I only have four of the new acrylic's, but wanted to save them for the more expensive regular submissions in the future. The coins I am sending in for the freething are couple hundred $ and under items!

They'll accept them just fine. If they are proof coins, though, I would STRONGLY recommend against it.

You strongly suggested to jd not to submit proofs, I presume, in 2x2s...If they weren't already slabbed by dah gubmint, how would YOU submit a proof?...

I recommended that he not submit them in the soft flips that he was asking about.

OH!...Would the smaller 2x2s that are thick keep the proof safe?.....I'm curious for I have a couple I'd like to submit.

For proof coins, one should use mylar flips only, not vinyl. The latter can cause haze on the coins. PCGS prefers 2.5x2.5 size. It's easier for the grader to remove the coin, and thus less potential for damage.
