David,
How many 2001 Buffalos have tags signed by the Mint Director? I am espeially interested in knowing how many
MS-70 and PR-70's exist. I have been unsuccessful in getting an answer from PCGS employees about this and would appeciate it if you could find out.

    Approximately 5,000 total PCGS graded 2001 Buffalos have the Mint Director inserts...that's a total of 5,000 proofs and mint states combined. I don't know the break down but suspect it's 50/50.

    We do not have seperate 70 pops for the signed inserts. The 70 pops including both signed and unsigned inserts are 25 PR70 and 31 MS70.
