Look at this Morgan Dollar error! WOW! Never seen one that dramatic before.

    That's wild. Reminds me of a lower grade one from ANR's Pre-ANA Sale. My favorite from that sale was this double struck Peace dollar.

  • There was a similar Morgan for auction earlier this year, I believe it went unsold.

    This one has gone unsold for several months, granted an xf45 but at $15k I can think of lots of truly rare coins I would rather own.

    Errors like this are cool but not at these prices.

    I love that error Dog97 posted.

    It amazes me that an error coin like that went circulating around back then.

    One would think that it would seem strange looking and stuff it away in a trunk or something.

    Oh well........great coin!

    On Byers site he says it was carried as a pocket piece, that's why it's worn.
