Second one is the winner of auction and seller to me

Number 2 all the way. Probably the coin is a little lighter. The other two images just do not look like the true color of silver on my screen.

You are going to tell us the answer ?

Number one......It shows the colors and the reverse cresent the best.

scanners (#2 and #3)just do not show true colors from a coin. You should get a camera with a decent macro lens and your photos will thank you.

I think 2 would look most like it under "normal" conditions and 1 would be with the right light & 3.5 degree tilt while standing on your head and 3 just looks like a bad picture. 3 is not really "bad" but you have the slab propped from the wrong side which reflects too much light.

#1 IMO. #2 seems to have too much "contrast" and the third looks a bit off in the color.

would say that #1 is probably lcloser to true life colors.

Well they all represent the coin one way or another. Image 1 the obv looks like the coin, and the rev does not (like Dog97 said you would have to stand on your head.) Image 2 is pretty much nailed except the obv doesn't have that purple and is more pastel like #1.

My image, Dog97 was correct in I got too much flash... but the colors are pretty darn close. So after a bunch of time learning my new image editor, Adobe Photo-shop elements, I come up with what I feel represents the coin. What you think? And thanks to those that played.

hahahah I know what you're saying stman! I have that same problem. I'll make 5 different images of a coin and try to pick the best one to post in my reg set and I just end up scratching my head & saying damn they all kinda look like it and just say enie menie minie moe.
To cure your flash problem in the white center try propping the edge of the slab. Lots of times my best scans make when the left or right side is propped instead of the top or bottom.
Sometimes you have to turn the slab 180 degrees to make the light reflect less brightly from the natural flow lines of the luster, then rotate it with your image editor.

Dog, yeah I move the slab all different ways. Haven't tried sideways with this scanner yet. This was the first PCGS slab I tried. The other ones were all NGC, so it's a different breed to scan. This Peace$ I nailed it.

From any of the images it looks like you've got a winner. Definitely one of the nicest Peace dollars I've seen. Nice score!

WOW! I remember the previous images of the coin. The reverse looks far more lively in this image than the last. What beautiful Peace dollars!
