    I tried to notify ebay thru their shill bidding help window, gave them the item #, seller, bidder, and brief descrpition and they wouldn't accept it saying I needed to place the correct bidder/seller ID on the form---something wierd is going on here. I triple checked my input--strange!!!
    Its a foul ball by a fair margin.

    It's not really worth the trouble. You need to come up with enough evidence to get eBay to act (more than selling the same item to the same bidder 3 times). Even if eBay does act, the seller will only have his account suspended for about a week.

    One of the tricks I've used to catch shillers is send an email to the BIDDER asking a question about the coin that's for sale. If he responds back, you have him with email proof and safeharbor will suspend him immediately. It doesn't always work though, sometimes they're too smart to fall for it.

    Looking at the feedback the auction closed on the 26th at 8pm and supposedly the order was shipped and received by the 28th? What gives? A true sham!

    I just received an email from the seller stating that he wasn't watching closely the second time and didn't realize until after it closed that it was the same person who couldn't pay the first time. He said he then cancelled her bid. I didn't know you could cancel a bid after the auction closed. But it doesn't explain why they each left positive feedback both times before. If you had an auction close for 1300+ and the high bidder couldn't pay, would you leave them positive feedback?

    I usually do. Of course, there's the matter of paying my insertion and final value fees that warrent leaving a positive...image
