Saw a full-page ad in CW from First American Numismatics. Haven't seen them before, and the contacts listed are Robert Hughes (ex-Spectrum) and Dan Smith (ex-TAGZ). Offices in Beverly Hills.
I've always wondered how you can start up a rare coin company and right out of the blocks have a big inventory with big ticket coins.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Robert had a ad in the previous CW stating the new company and the ads will start soon.
As the market gets stronger, expect to see more rare coin dealers breaking off on their own to take advantage of the boom.

Could be, but First American isn't averse to buying coins "for stock". I sold them 50K at the last Long Beach show. No terms, no nonsense.
