I'm looking at one of the registry set compositions for a circulation strike set and it has weights. Could someone explain how weights work. Thanks, Ken

The weights are as follows and the Godzilla Monster set has the corresponding grades:
1875 2.00 AU55
1875-CC 3.00 VF30
1875-S 1.00 AU55
1876 2.00 MS60
The set rating is calculated by multiplying the weight by the corresponding grade adding the totals and dividing by the total weights (which in 8) which results in a rating of 46.875.
My quarters:
Silver
Clad
Statehood
Weighting is based on several factors including scarcity, market value and difficulty of acquisition.
To relate it to the proof Kennedy Short Set, the Accented Hair has a weight of 2, while all the other coins are weighted at 1. Thus, it has more impact on the GPA either up or down, depending on grade. Mine counts as a grade of 71 (68 plus 3 point DCAM bonus), so it alone is a big part of my ranking.
