best camera to take coin pics

I see alot of people here with great shots of there coins I can never get mine anywhere near that what is the best camera and other great hints to take great pics

I know Im not the only one wanting this info

    There's no such thing as a "best" camera for coin photography. You'll find a dozen answers to that question from a dozen people who do nice coin images. If you get a camera that does excellent macro and allows you to adjust white balance, the rest is lighting and angle. The more flexible your setup in that area, the better.

    As for a specific recommendation, I use a Ricoh RDC-4300. It's old, used and cheap.

    I like my Nikon Coolpix 4500... it's not old, it's not too used, but it's still pretty cheap image

    I've seen this question asked a lot...and if you do a search using 'photo', 'pictures' or 'photographs', you'll find a lot of useful ideas. For my part, I don't have one, but having read a lot of these threads, I see a lot of people like the Nikon Coolpix series of cameras.

    I bought a Ricoh RDC-4300 ($52.04 eBay) because I've seen Russ's pictures. I'm VERY happy with it!
