What set (however you define it) are you most pleased with?

For me, right now, it's my 1938-1975 Jefferson nickel set. Most of them have come from circulation by my searching and the ones that aren't from circulation are really eye appealing coins I got real cheap because some people don't know how to grade jeffersons.

i could say my video game set is most impressive . lol but coin wise its my washington quarter set. 64-98 . all from circ and always interesting. only reason i said video games first cause i have every console just about ever made. so naturally thats my first reaction hehe. but washington Q's are my nicest coin set

I have a partial set of Peace dollars but the one I am most pleased with is my set of Morgans which is a complete basic set sans 95 proof coin.

The grandson's proof 69DC ASE's, w/95-W is the most stunning! And, the most reasonable, for the times.
My "other" favorite set has to be my partial short set of Walker's. More in tune to my age. Beautiful coin! Oh, and I guess, real familiar, huh?

After swaying back and forth between early date Merc Dimes and a full set of Mercs I have decided to revert back to just the early short set of Mercs, 1916 thru 1931. Might keep a few of the later dates but not many of them if any at all.

I'm very proud of my complete date/mintmark set of uncirculated Jefferson nickels. Although they are not profesionally graded, each one was selected for it's outstanding eye appeal. I'm also pleased with my circulated set, which I put togather with coins that match up very closely in terms of grade and color.

My early date large cent die variety set. Overall it is rated about 28th in the census and the draped bust portion (my specialty) is around 18th.

wish i could add some excellent set of mine to this thread but i aint got no set that would be worth mentioning really compared to most members here.
still working on a complete raw Jeff set...maybe about 80% finished ?
got a Peace set of all the dates but not by mint marks....whoppty doo huh...
Proof sets from 1954-present...again ,,whoppty doo...thats easy huh.

Usually it is the current set I am working on, but I always go back to IHC's. My preference is au/bu raw coins, just this week I picked up a nice 72 red, 67 red and a red and blue 91, which along with the 94 is difficult to find nice. This is my second set and the coins are mostly MS with a few XF's. The first set was completed many years ago. 27 more to go for this set.

Cam40, a set does not have to be expensive to be pleasing. It doesn't have to be high grade either. You should see some of the dogs in my large cent set. If you enjoy assembling it and it give you pleasure then it is a fine set. Having fun with the hobby is the important thing. If you are just throwing money at your collection and not having fun with it, your in the wrong hobby.
