1976-P T2 MS67 Ike - Scans & Photos
Here are large scans of the MS67 Ike. The scans are good for showing the clean surfaces, strong strike, and lack of significant contact marks. I also have two photos. The photos are poorly focussed as I do not have a macro lense, but they show the great luster the scan does not. As Ikes go, this coin is incredible. I find myself admiring it a lot.
The obverse is extremely clean. The tick in the forhead is the only mark of note. There is a touch of light chatter on the cheek and a touch in the fields, but extremely clean for a clad Ike. Superb luster, and a touch of honey gold patina mainly near the rims.
The reverse is absolutely the most superior Ike surface I've seen--the small tick between the A of AMERICA and the star is the only one that is spotted without magnification, and even at that it is very minimal. The surfaces are hard and clean. Luster is strong, with a gentle faint touch of pastel blue/purple patina resting on it.
Without the tick on the head, I feel this would be a 68. As is, I feel the reverse is a STRONG 68--I've had a modern commem grade 69 with a more significant mark than the tick on the reverse of this coin.

Is the luster in real life as it is in the photo? It kind of looks dull.
Great looking coin by the way.
I sent in a type two of this date. Similar to the way yours looks except no tick on the forehead, but it does have one on the back bottom of the neck.
Again, crongratulations on that fantastic score!
Richard.
I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.
Always looking for nice type coins

My guess is about $2,200.00.
