Image storage on forum/CU?
Several of you have mentioned that you use the forum site to upload/store images...I can't seem to find a link to any image storing section. Can anybody give me a clue? It seems that when I have a large image hosted at Comcast (my ISP) or on Yahoo! photos, when I upload it to the forum it gets downsized considerably. Thanks for any help.....Chuck
Don't you know that it's worth

to be young at heart?
And as rich as you are,
it's much better by far,
to be young at heart!

They've really come in handy when folks have asked questions about uploading and so on- it's not that hard to do, but really hard to explain, sometimes.

The only thing that i know is when you are writing a post, there is a attach file button on the bottom. If you click on this it will give you a browse button to browse your computer files to upload a pic or pics. The limit size is 50K for a pic. You can just keep adding pics to it and then just pic one to add to your post. I have about 30 pics in their for easy posting and i don't know what the limit is.
Then when you write another post and click the "attach file" button all the pics that were previously uploaded will be shown, just pis one to attach or use the browse button again to get one from your comp..
I hope this helps

Now that's a great helper thread......

When you on the upload box after hitting attach file on your post. Hit the bottom left button " view file" with the pic you want to see highlighted.
That will bring up your picture for viewing. right click on the picture. will bring up the menu in the pic below. go to "properties" and click
That will bring up the properties box. Go to address and highlight it and copy it using the right click again.
Type in IMG and slash IMG as seen below and paste the address between and you've got a pic. It's pretty fast once you've done it a couple times.
<< <i>Okay, that's to attach a photo, but how do you put the photo so you can see it within the text box? >>
Once you have it uploaded into your "Upload Box", highlight the pic you want, click "View File", and when the pic of it displays, right-click on that, go to "Properties", copy the URL, and then you can post it into a message, using the regular IMG prompt with your URL, just as you would post any other picture on the forums. Sounds complex, but once again, it isn't too bad. There's a new tutorial for you to make, Neil. This stuff is harder to explain than it is to do.
Here- I will demonstrate by attaching a picture from my upload box, and putting it in the thread so it displays within the message.
Try it- play around with it on the Testing forum. Using my method, I don't even really need to attach the pics, if I can get their URL's and post them in the message that way.
EDIT- AHA! Mgoodm3 was already there! Nice work!
