Should I crack it out and resubmit?
I bought this coin in an AU-58 ANACS holder. I didn't (and still don't) see any rub. I showed it to a few people who also didn't see any rub. I cracked it out and sent it to PCGS and it came back AU-58. Is it worth trying again?

From the pic, it looks like some rub on breast and knee, but it's too tough to tell from a pic.

Type collector since 1981
Current focus 1855 date type set
PCI will give it 64, at least, I'm sure
If the coin is PQ for the 58 grade(lightest friction) when you go to sell it, the holder grade wont matter as much anyway?
Just MO

Nice looking seated!
The issue with flat stars, wing feathers, claws, etc. are never an indication of wear unless her leg and breasts, and probably the drapery folds, are also flat from wear. The eagle's upper wing tip
and claw knuckles are the first area of wear on the reverse. If they are flat from strike, look at the opposite side of the eagle for your determination. Same goes for flat head and stars and rims/denticles. Ignore those areas and go for the high point drapery folds and leg. If her leg is peaked with full luster across it, no way anything else will indicate wear unless you rubbed it out with a pencil eraser!
My basic axiom: Full field luster almost always equals UNC. IF the fields are not scuffy or chattered you probably have a gem coin, regardless of other flat areas due to striking. If you have luster flat on the rim (the highest part of the coin...but no one ever looks there)
and it's unbroken, that's usually a coin with all its field luster intact too. An 1839 no drapery half is notorious for a flat leg. So you'll have to look elsewhere to get some help: rims, wingtips, Liberty's outstretched arm and even the shield scroll. Almost always you'll find corroborating areas that all point to wear.

Nice coin tho', and worth a good premium over typical AU money.
