Anybody Bought From eBay Seller Halfdollarmike?

I usually don't buy raw coins off eBay, but I have noticed eBay seller halfdollarmike always has some really nice looking BU Ike dollars for sale and wondered if they were as nice as the pictures shown on his auctions?

He has 882 feedback with 99.7% positive. I don't see anything in the auctions about a return policy, but most of the reviews are praise. I just wondered if his pictures were accurate enough to try and buy an Ike worth certifying like this oneLink

I was looking at his auctions as well. I wonder if the Ikes pictured are the actual ones theat will be sent. If they are then I don't think a person would get hurt buying them. They look pretty nice for the price he is asking. I am broke right now or i would buy some to see.

I was looking at that very auction yesterday. The pictures do look very nice. Let us know how they are in person if you end up buying them.

Never heard of him so his feedback record is important.

I bought 4 Kennedys from him about $12.00. They were proofs cracked from holder into 2x2. Cannot comment about raws. The proofs appear to be great shape but I have not submitted them yet.

I can think of a dozen reasons not to have high capacity magazines, but it's the reasons I haven't thought about that I need them.

I have watched his auctions for months. He buys certified Ikes and rolls. Be very cautious as my gut tells me that the photos are enchanced by lighting.

I bought about $25-30 worth of raw Ikes from him. While agree with his BU assessment, they were low end MS62/63 quality. I did not pick any to certify from the bunch. None looked like the one in the photo you linked.

I bought several 1972 IKEs from him on different occcasions. He usually posts them as BIN in groups of 4. You can only see the first coin because of the way he does "his pictures." That first coin always appears to be spotless! Out of all the coins I've received from him (I usually buy all 4, they've never been spotless. They're not all that bad however, maybe MS 63/64. If you are looking for gem IKEs, Ebay pictures are NOT the way to go. I don't think I've ever found a gem IKE from buying raw coins via Ebay. As a matter of fact, here's a lot of the coins that I've purchased right here.

    Hope this helps!

I have bought several MS Kennedy's from him in the past months. I am completing a Dansco album of business strikes. The coins I got are average choice BU's still in the mint cello. They grade 63-65 usually. Nice coins but no gems. You get what you pay for. Expecting Gem anything is unreasonable in my opinion. But if you need choice coins he's your man. Fast shipping and choice BU is what you can expect. That's my experience, hope it helps.
