I'm there all next week, and I don't gamble. Any reputable dealers I should visit?

Sahara Coins. It's off the strip, but well worth it. Probably no patterns there though.

I think Mandalay Bay still has a coin store inside their Hotel.
It's mostly for tourists. But they have a large assortment...

    Not if you win !!!!!!!!!!
    Then you have more. image

Every time I win, I get greedy and lose.
The key is to walk away while you are up.
This is something I have yet to master.

I guess you are better off going to a coin shop.
At least you have something to show for you spent cash. image

Unrelated to coins, but I recommend going on the "Star Trek Experience" at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Sahara Coins may be the best coin shop in Vegas.

Theres one in the Rivera but it wasnt much last time i was there.

Tip for any espiring gambler is, ya gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em.
Know when to walk away, know when to run........

I visited Sahara coins last time I was there, and it was a $16 cab ride from the Strip (one way). Also be prepared to wait for a cab back, since they will have to call one for you. Nice store, buillion at spot prices + , and lots of old poker chips to look over. I wanted to buy a CC Morgan since I was in Nevada, and they had several nice ones, including GSAs.

Ace- your experience with the ride to and fro mirrors my experience to the T.

the cab driver i got was an Asian fellow that was all intersted in what i bought etc.
i showed him what I had and he wanted to buy one of the coins i just bought.
so being the good guy i am, sold him a nice old large cent at my cost.
i think it was about a $15 coin.
....that was about, if not exactly the cost of my cab ride.
when was the last time you caught a cab ride in Vegas for one cent huh?

As a collector who just moved from Vegas I would say that Sahara Coins is the best. They have good stuff, you are going to pay a good price too, but it is well worth the visit.

There are others in Vegas, ie. @ the Sahara, but like the others said, we are talking about a different caliber of dealer.

As far as the Mandalay Bay, they used to have a coin museum but that soon flopped; and as far as a shop is concerned, I did not see on there. But it is always worth a call to their switchboard.

    Good luck!!!

I hear there is a pretty good show wherein Zigfreid puts a roll of silver dollars inside Roy!

I remember a very small shop at Balagio. They were selling $ 1000 bills...... again, maybe just 50 items to choose from.
