Kennedy roll.

I have an original roll of '64 Kennedys. Should I open it up? I don't think I would sell it as a roll. But I'm hesitant to open it up.

As it is, though, it's just an expensive paperweight.

What would you do?

To my knowledge there's no premium placed on original bank wrapped rolls of 1964 Kennedy's - to say, anymore than just for the fact that they are orginal. Most dealers just dump them into their bullion piles. If you open the roll you might find some neat end roll pieces (which you will sell to me cheap image). Also - if you happen to find one or more that grade MS66 or better, those have been getting a premium (I think $50 for MS66 in PCGS holders - don't know about MS67's) so - if I were you - I'd have some fun and look at them - if they're just nice BU pieces, put them in a nice plastic holder and off to ebay with them image

If you open them, be sure to look for doubled or tripled mottos.image

I'd try it, but I'm afraid I'll crack a tooth if I do.

I wouldn't open it...the longer you wait the fewer they become becuase dealers will open them for stock.
