they have more ways to go? Why?
At which point do you sell some/all and take your gains?

I have an intuition that Silver dollars are going to take some additional good price advancements over the next few months. Not common date or typical dates, but your tougher better date coins in higher circulated AU to ms-63 range. Some of these have already been occurring, but I think thier is more to come. I have been hearing of a lot of people starting to pick up more of the expensive better dates and thier going ahead an purchasing the dates that they had put on hold. Seems to be a lot of newer Silver Dollar collectors of recent also. Just a feeling, could be wrong!
Dates like the CC's (79-cc,89-cc, 93-cc), 92-s,93-o, 93-s, 94-p, 95-0,95-s, 96-o, 03-s etc
just a gut feeling.
CC's will advance a little quicker than the other dollars.
Any CC Morgan is a prized Morgan to most collectors anyway I think.
Will always be in favor IMO.
And for now, for the CC dollars the premium holder is the GSA holder. Again JMO
1. More people continue to clean coins, and
2. Collectors are increasing.
Of course, rare coins, like precious metals, are sometimes a good short-term investment, but make a lousy long-term investment, so be careful...
Check out a Vanguard Roth IRA.
I see even the common 1881-S in PCGS MS66 must be goin up too! Greysheet is well over $200 IIRC.
1. The common dates (82-CC, 83-CC & 84-CC) are easily promoted...they have been and they will continue to be.
2. A set of CC Dollars can be completed instead of the entire set of Morgans and a collector will still feel as if they have accomplished something.
3. There are still a large number of common dates in GSA Holders. Those coins still in the holders add a sense of security for those that are skeptical of grading standards
4. Perhaps another reason that is often overlooked is the association of the Carson City Mint to the Old West. There are alot of collectors that look for things that symbolize the Old West and nothing seems to capture that spirit like a CC Dollar.
5. As for the underrated dates... I still think that high end circs that are totally original that grade EF45 through AU58 will be in demand. As for dates? the 79-cc, 89-cc, 92-cc and 93-cc will be the 4 coins in this grade range that do the best. Out of the 4, the 79-cc is my favorite. The 89-cc and 93-cc have made good moves over the past 18-24 months... the 79-cc really has not moved as much as those two, but it is not easy to find in original condition.
6. As for the uncs... I still like high grade MS64+ 1880-CC REV OF 78.
just some thoughts from the cheap seats.
